Normal People still has a lot of hype around it, especially now the BBC TV adaptation has been released and I just couldn’t and still can’t get away from it. I had book bloggers telling me to read it, I had them telling me not to read it. I had my friends and family telling me to watch the TV show adaptation. But now, I’m the one forcing everyone to read and watch it. It has very quickly become one of my favourite reads and watches of 2020.
I’ve never read any of Nick Hornby’s novels, so when I got approved for the arc on NetGalley I was so excited! It’s a very clever, funny and charming novel that I enjoyed the majority of the time. For some reason, finishing this book took me a lot longer than usual, someone on twitter replied to me to say that I am probably just taking it all in and enjoying it rather than just reading to get it finished.
Sometimes I can’t seem to say no to receiving an arc in exchange for an honest review, I’m worried I will miss out from reading some amazing books. And let me tell you, this was amazing.
It’s been so long since I’ve done a tag post, I got tagged by the lovely Hooked with Books to do this one! If you haven’t already go and check out her amazing blog!
There were quite a few things I liked about The Bro Code, but I thought I would enjoy it more than I did. The characters are likeable and I found myself wanting to get to know them more.
