Hoppy Easter Everyone! I hope you are all filling up on chocolate for those who celebrate it. I’ve had a very busy weekend already and I’m absolutely dead after climbing a mountain on Saturdsy but it was so much fun and can’t wait to do another again soon.
March has been very on/off reading-wise for me as my headaches have been coming and going. I’ve had my eye test and my glasses will be here soon very exciting times. Here is my March wrap up with my April TBR!
Rangers Oath (Fall of Radiance) by Blake Arthur Peel
I had a proper fantasy binge through February/March and this book was a big favourite of mine. It’s clear to see why Ranger’s Oath came 5th in the BBNYA. It was so much fun to read and the characters really brought the story to life. Read my full review here.
The Gilded King by Josie Jaffrey
The Gilded King is another BBNYA finalist and this book is definitely one of my favourites books of the year. I was fascinated with the vampire story and couldn’t get enough of the characters even though I did change my mind about them a lot. You can read my full review here!
Mina and the Undead by Amy McCaw
I loved this book so much! The story was so interesting and intense, the characters are relatable and unique and the descriptions of New Orleans make me want to go back so bad. I was fully invested in this book and you should definitely read it if you want an easy and compelling YA Horror! Read my review here.
Buddy Read: Bloodlust & Bonnets by Emily McGovern
This was my first graphic novel and it was a great one to start with! It didn’t take very long to read at all and it was nice to be able to visually see the story. It was so much fun to read and I loved the characters, I will definitely be picking up more like this.
What Beauty There Is by Cory Anderson
What a beautifully devastating book this is. I couldn’t tear my eyes away from the pages and ended up reading it very quickly. It was definitely the characters that made me love this book so much and I will probably read it again just to experience the characters again. I loved being part of the blog tour so thank you so much The Write Reads, the author and the publisher. Read my full review here!
The Institute by Stephen King
I borrowed this book from my brother’s fiancé in September last year but I have only just got around to reading it and it took me agesss. I had so many blog tours so it kind of got pushed to the side a bit. In the end, I really enjoyed it and now I can’t wait to read more Stephen King books. I think The Running Man will be next on my list. Read my review for the Institute here.
A Court of Thorns and Roses/A Court of Mist and Fury by Sarah J. Maas
March was finally the month I jumped on the ACOTAR hype and I was not disappointed! I thought the first book was amazing, then I read the second one and I couldn’t believe the huge twists and change in characters. I love the writing style and I’ll definitely be reading more of Maas’ work.
Kate In Waiting by Becky Albertalli
I have been loving YA Romance recently so I had to sign up for Penguin Blog Tour hosted by The Write Reads for Kate in Waiting. It seems like such a fun, easy read and I’m looking forward to starting it! Look out for my stop on the blog tour on April 13th!
A Court of Wings and Ruin by Sarah J. Maas
I’m finally moving onto the third book of the ACOTAR series!! I have been loving this so much and I can’t wait to see what happens in the rest of the series. I’ve fallen in love with Rhysand as I’m sure a lot of other people have as well. I keep seeing this series all over Twitter, I’m glad to see so many people enjoy it.
The Rise of the Altereds by Marisa Noelle
This book was on my Trope-ical Readathon TBR and I did start it last week, my plan today is to get it finished! I really enjoyed the first book, The Unadjusteds and I am really enjoying this one so far. The dystopian world is so interesting and I can’t wait to see all the characters use their abilities and powers again.
Buddy Read: Among the Beasts & Briars by Ashley Poston
This sounds like a book I will really really enjoy. It’s a young adult fantasy full of magic forbidden woods and curses. What is there not to like! My copy still hasn’t turned up yet because of the bank holiday weekend but I will be starting this as soon as it arrives.
Felix Every After by Kacen Callender
I was very kindly gifted this by the publisher and I’m so excited to read it this month as I said before I have been loving young adult romance. I’ve heard such good things about it and that it is incredibly moving.
There we have it for my March Wrap up and April TBR. I’m very excited about the books i’m reading this month, I hope I can sort my schedule out properly so I can find the time to read them all. Let me know what books your excited to read this month!
