Welcome to my first NetGalley check-in! If you don’t know what NetGalley is, it’s a site that helps publishers and authors promote digital review copies and audiobooks available for the NetGalley community to discover, request, read, and review.
I’ve been a member for a couple of months and started to request a few books, so I thought this would be a perfect blog post to end September with!
Genre: General Fiction (Adult)|Romance|Women’s Fiction
Scrolling through the titles in NetGalley, I saw this straight away especially because of the beautiful cover, it is definitely a book I would pick up in a bookstore to look at! I’m still trying to work out a good work/reading routine, without much luck at the moment but I wanted to start with some romance books. I find them really easy to read and helps me get out of a reading slump and this really intrigued me.
Preorder the book: Amazon UK
The Searcher by Tana French
Genre: General Fiction (Adult)|Mystery&Thriller
I know I said I was looking for some romance, but I was finishing The Hunting Party by Lucy Foley and I know I would need to read some more thrillers immediately. The Searcher just called out to me obviously because of my current read at the time.
The Bell in the Lake by Lars Mytting
Genre: General Fiction (Adult)|Historical Fiction
I really want to read more historical fiction books and I thought this book would be the perfect place to start. From the few reviews I’ve read, they explained how it’s beautifully written. I love vivid and in-depth descriptions of places, so I’m very excited to give this one a read!
The First Time We Met by Jo Lovett
Genre: Romance|Woman’s Fiction
I didn’t want to request too many and end up with an endless tbr pile, even though I already have that. I saw The First Time We Met and thought it would be a nice easy read. Ever since I read The Switch by Beth O’Leary, I wanted to find another women’s fiction book to read.
I will do another check-in once I have got through these and requested many more! Look out for my reviews in the next few months!
Let me know what’s on your NetGalley tbr?
