Hello everyone! I’m back with another buddy read review. I keep finding the most amazing books through these buddy reads and I’m so grateful as some of them are books I wouldn’t even think to pick up. Today I am bringing you my 5-star review of Among the Beasts and Briars, one of my new favourite books!
Who’s watched the Shadow and Bone Netflix series yet? I watched a couple last night but then I just had to go to bed but I will be watching more later. I only read the book a few days ago and I didn’t realise it includes Six of Crows as well. Looks like I have to buy and read that series now!
I very quickly became a fan of Josie Jaffrey last year, so I hopped on the blog for The Gilded King as soon as it was announced. Apart from a couple of Twilight books, I’ve never read any books about vampires but I’ve got to say this book really surprised me. I was instantly hooked and I couldn’t put it down!. The story was fast-paced and engaging, I fell in love with all the characters and couldn’t wait to learn more about them. But I especially love the dark, paranormal and dystopian twists throughout as well as the romance between some of the characters.
Let me just start off by saying I loved this book!! I started it the other night after work and before I knew it I was nearly done. I couldn’t believe how quickly I managed to get through it. The story is easy to follow and I instantly fell in love with the world of mages, rangers and demons. The way the author describes the world makes it easy to visualise. It felt like I was there sometimes.
I’m a big fan of fantasy, dystopian books, especially when magic is involved and Marrow Charm had all of this. It was a bit overwhelming to begin with as you get thrown into this magical world, full of non-stop action. It then became extremely hard not to be consumed by the dystopian, creative world and I quickly became hooked until the very end!
Hello everyone!! Today is my stop on The Write Reads blog tour for Calico Thunder by T.A. Hernandez the 7th place finalist of the BBNYA. Here is my spotlight so you can learn more about this book!
I’d like to start this post by saying a huge thank you to Josie Jaffrey for the amazing opportunity of reading and reviewing her new book The Wolf and the Water! This is the first book of hers that I’ve read, but I keep hearing such amazing things about all her others that are out.
