WWW Wednesday | 24th March 2021

It’s that time of the week again to see what I’ve been reading! My headaches are really bothering me lately so I booked an eye test for next Monday to see if it is my eyes so I can get this sorted. Every member of my family needs glasses, I knew it would creep up on me at some point. I hope everyone is having a wonderful week and looking forward to the weekend! Let me know in the comments what you’re reading this weekend.

WWW Wednesday is a weekly meme hosted at Taking on a World of Words, where you just answer three questions.

The Rise of the Altereds by Marisa Noelle

I read The Unajusteds for a blog tour earlier in the year and it instantly got me hooked on dystopian books again. I couldn’t put book one down and I’m hoping this one will be the same. I didn’t think I would get around to reading this one as soon as I am but I added it to my Trope-ical Readathon TBR for the dystopian trope so I was encouraged to pick it up.

What have you recently finished?

The Institute by Stephen King

This has taken me quite a while to read but I’ve finally finished it!!! What started out as a buddy read turned into loads of blog tours and this book being pushed to the side a little. I’m kind of glad I took my time with it because it was an amazing book. I love how intense the story is, all the characters were extremely interesting and it’s just very easy to get hooked. Tou can read my review here to see my full thoughts on the book!

A Court of Mist and Fury by Sarah J. Maas

I am loving this series and wow this book is just amazing! It was full of surprises and great characters that I am now in love with. I had to wait a bit to buy the next book and it has been painful but payday is nearly here. As soon as I wake up on friday I will be buying this book. Stay tuned for my reviews of book 1 and 2!

The Inheritance Games by

I finished this book for the Absent Parent trope for the Trope-ical Readathon and this book definitely lived up to the hype! I was completely hooked from the very first page and it stayed that way until I finished. I’m so excited for the next one in the series that is out later this year, so you all need to go and read this fab mystery before book two is released! Review to come!

What Beauty There Is by Cory Anderson

I hoped on this blog tour last minute but it didn’t matter because I read this amazing book in a day. It’s very intense and a lot of violence happens yet it is also an incredibly beautiful book about family, loss and neglect. Grab your tissues for this one because there will be tears! You can read my review here!

Bloodlust & Bonnets by Emily McGovern

This book is a prime example of why I love buddy reads. I would never have picked up this book because I don’t read graphic novels. After reading this, I just want to read more! Bloodlust & Bonnets is such a fun read and it won’t take you any time at all. If your a fan of graphic novels or thinking of trying them I definitely recommend this funny, dramatic story about slaying vampires!

Stay Mad, Sweetheart by Heleen Kist

The blog tour for this is in full swing now and I love everyone’s amazing reviews. This is the 3rd place finalist in the BBNYA and it sounds extremely powerful by tackling subjects such as sexual harassment and suicide. I’m hopefully starting this today after work, look out for my review in a couple of days!

Mina and the Undead by Amy McCaw

I’m finally moving onto Mina and the Undead this week and I can’t wait! I’ve been loving the hype around this book and I must say I’ve been enjoying a few vampire books recently. The story is set in New Orleans and when I visited in 2017, I fell in love with the place so I’m really excited to explore it again with these characters. Look out for my review on April 1st!

That wraps up my WWW Wednesday for this week! Let me know in the comments what you’re currently reading, or if you’ve read any of these books!
