Stay Mad, Sweetheart by Heleen Kist | BBYNA Blog Tour | Spotlight

Hello everyone! Today is my spot on The Write Reads Blog Tour, I was really excited to start this because everyone else’s reviews have been amazing! Unfortunately, my headache’s haven’t been getting much better and it was starting to hurt to read from my phone. I am going to buy a kindle or a tablet soon so I have a bigger screen to read e-books on so I will be going back to this one later.

WWW Wednesday | 24th March 2021

It’s that time of the week again to see what I’ve been reading! My headaches have been really bothering me lately, I booked an eye test for next Monday to see if it is my eyes so I can get this sorted. Every member of my family needs glasses, I knew it would creep up on me at some point. I hope everyone is having a wonderful week and looking forward to the weekend! Let me know in the comments what you’re reading this weekend.

The Institute by Stephen King | Book Review

As The Institute is my first Stephen King book, I didn’t really know what to expect. I have watched some of the film adaptations and yeah, they did scare me. So, I was a bit sceptical about starting it, I like my sleep and I didn’t want to be kept up by ghosties. However! It ended up being more eerie and chilling than scary, but you can’t stop reading because too much is happening.

What Beauty There Is by Cory Anderson | Blog Tour

This was a very last-minute blog tour for me and I dropped everything to start reading this book. It’s not normally something I would pick up but I am so glad I did. As soon as I started reading, I couldn’t stop. The story was completely captivating and the characters were so interesting, it’s very easy to care for them and get wrapped up in their lives. It’s so beautifully written, sometimes like poetry and it is easy to get lost in the snowy setting. It makes the story that bit more chilling and engaging.

Characters of the Year Tag: 2020 Edition

I’ve been a very busy bee recently, basically reading non-stop and also binge-watching Grey’s Anatomy. I had my first day back in the office on Wednesday and I was exhausted when I got home and ended up falling asleep on the sofa. The week is almost done though and I’m looking forward to a long weekend of reading!
On with the post! Thank you And On She Reads for tagging me in the Characters of the Year: 2020 edition, I read so many great books last year and I’m excited to share my thoughts on some of the characters.

The Gilded King by Josie Jaffrey| BBNYA Blog Tour

I very quickly became a fan of Josie Jaffrey last year, so I hopped on the blog for The Gilded King as soon as it was announced. Apart from a couple of Twilight books, I’ve never read any books about vampires but I’ve got to say this book really surprised me. I was instantly hooked and I couldn’t put it down!. The story was fast-paced and engaging, I fell in love with all the characters and couldn’t wait to learn more about them. But I especially love the dark, paranormal and dystopian twists throughout as well as the romance between some of the characters.

WWW Wednesday | 10th March 2021

Happy Wednesday everyone! It’s was a very chilly morning here and extremely hard to get out of bed but I’m now done for the day! It’s been a couple of weeks since my last WWW Wednesday and I have been reading a lot! I’ve also got stuck in a hole, the hole of being addicted to the series A Court of Thorns and Roses. WHY DID I NOT KNOW ABOUT THIS SERIES EARLIER! I’m now on book two and I just love it. Anyway, let’s see what else I’ve been reading!

Ranger’s Oath by Blake Arthur Peel | BBNYA Blog Tour

Let me just start off by saying I loved this book!! I started it the other night after work and before I knew it I was nearly done. I couldn’t believe how quickly I managed to get through it. The story is easy to follow and I instantly fell in love with the world of mages, rangers and demons. The way the author describes the world makes it easy to visualise. It felt like I was there sometimes.
